To be able to see hidden files and folders them you need to do the follow

Select my Computer from the Start menu or the desktop. Then from the Tools menu select “Folder Options”. When the Folder Options Dialog appears click on the View Tab. You should now be seeing the dialog below

Scroll down a little on the list of options and change the item “Hidden Files and Folders” and select “Show Hidden Files and Folders”.and click the OK button.
